In Full Bloom

The cherry blossom trees were in full bloom this past weekend in our nation's capital, so Will and I decided to pack some picnic lunches and take Johnny to D.C. to see the festivities.  The weather was absolutely perfect- warm, but not too warm, with a slight breeze.  The sky was the most beautiful shade of blue I have seen in a long time.  The crowds were unbelievable, so we were really glad that we took the Metro.  This was John's first train ride, and he was really excited to ride the choo choo, even if he does look a bit overwhelmed in the pictures below.

It actually turned out to be a bit warm in the early 

afternoon, so we cooled off with some refreshing treats.

It took me quite a while to get past my fears to let him do this alone...below is a video from the bounce zone (Pump It Up!) in Elkridge.  Alas, Johnny has no hesitations and wanted to do it
